The Tell A Story Challenge

A few days ago Pensitivity challenged me to write a story to go with an image. Now it’s my turn to challenge others to do the same.

After a bit of investigative work, I’ve found the source of this challenge – The Eclectic Contrarian: Tell The Story Challenge – which means I now know the official rules which go with it.

These are the rules (I’ve messed with them a little) from the creator of the challenge:

Present a picture. Nominate at least 3 people to tell the story of the picture. It can be as short or as long as you want it to be. Be as creative as possible and use your imagination! Let’s see what kind of awesomeness can come from you!

So here goes…

The picture I’m presenting is the one used as the featured image of this post.

It’s from a book published in 1902 – “Blasts” from the Ram’s Horn – if you click on that link it’ll take you to the page which contains information on the image, other sizes and resolutions of it. The copyright is – No Known Copyright Restrictions.

I found it while I was exploring Wikimedia Commons, which is a great site to find images, art, photography, etc, for all your creative needs.

I’m going to nominate 3 bloggers, but this challenge is open to anyone who would like to participate.

I’ve nominated you because I know you like participating in these types of challenges, and are comfortable being tagged.

Have fun with it!

  1. Like Melanie, that photo rubs up against my clown phobia. I don’t like mimes either. 😳 Except for the obvious small child/strange face reason, I’m not sure why, but I have a vague first memory of wailing at a clown when I was little.
